The second principle of the Core is to overlap your attacks.
When you "DE-FANG" the snake...meaning attacking the hand or wrist, you should continue that forward motion.
The triceps control the arms ability to extend and the biceps control the ability to curl.
So how would this come into play in an empty hand situation?
Attacking the bicep or tricep muscle with kyusho attacks work well. Breaking the elbow stopping the triceps and biceps from being able to control the lower arm work even better.
So once you take the hand and knife out of play, follow up with an arm control or attack in case your first line of defense didnt work.
In a duel situation, cutting the wrist or hand can de-fang the snake and follow up cuts to the bicep or triceps will work tremendously.
Once again...overlapping your attacks is crucial to knife survival.
